A film version of Mojang Studio's Minecraft is starting to come together. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa is an action hero, is being thought of as a possible character in a film adaptation of the popular game. However, delays in production because of the pandemic forced the film to be delayed.  MEGA BLOG The film's issues predate Covid-19. The screenwriters and director quit the film in 2014 because of creative differences with Mojang.

The actor from Napoleon Dynamite's Jared Hess has now reportedly signed-on to direct the film, and Dune producers Mary Parent and Roy Lee are also on board.
